Chudakarm and Mundan Sanskar
(चूडाकर्म या मुंडन संस्कार)

बच्चे की उम्र के पहले वर्ष के अंत में या तीसरे, पांचवें या सातवें वर्ष के पूर्ण होने पर बच्चे के बाल उतारे जाते हैं और यज्ञ किया जाता है जिसे वपन क्रिया संस्कार, मुंडन संस्कार या चूड़ाकर्म संस्कार कहा जाता है। इससे बच्चे का सिर मजबूत होता है तथा बुद्धि तेज होती है।

At the end of the first year of the child's age or at the completion of the third, fifth or seventh year, the child's hair is released and the yajna is performed which is called the Vapan Kriya Samskar, Mundan Samskar or Chungaarram Samskara. This strengthens the child's head and the intellect is faster.
